Charles Langstaff, Executive Chef

Charles Langstaff, known to his friends as Chuck, has a 37 year track record of success as a top-level chef in the Columbus area.
Chuck is a graduate of the Culinary Program at Columbus State Community College. He later returned to his alma mater serving both as an instructor and serving on the committee overseeing the Apprenticeship Program. In 1988 he was awarded the prestigious designation of Certified Executive Chef by the American Culinary Federation.
His first big job was that of Executive Chef at the original 55 on the Boulevard. Following that astounding success Chuck went on to serve as Executive Chef at Hoster's, The University Club, the Great Southern Hotel and later for the Columbus Crown Plaza Hotel and Lofts Hotel.
Chuck has won numerous awards. In 1990, 1991 and again 2004 Chuck won the Ohio Pork Producers Chef Par Excellence award. In 1991 The American Dairy Association designated him one of the Great Chefs of America - one of only four nationally. But his most prestigious award was in 1992 when he was awarded the Columbus Chef of the Year Award by the American Culinary Federation.
